The Khaled Hosseini Foundation continues its support for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)! We are very pleased to be able to once again support Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and their Khost Maternity Center in Afghanistan. The maternity center was opened in 2012 to provide safe, high quality, and free maternal and neonatal care to women and their babies. In 2017 the center assisted in nearly 23,000 deliveries and admitted 1,650 newborns into the neonatology unit. Due to security and privacy concerns, the hospital does not allow photography within their facility but they commissioned a lovely graphic novel to represent a typical day in their facility.
